The 67th IAA took place this year with the motto “Experiencing the future”. It was mainly about electromobility, alternative drives and digitization. More than 50 car brands were represented and several hundred suppliers were also there. To go on with the digitization of the car even the Internet giants Facebook and Google have been represented.

There was also the “New Mobility World” exhibition from 14 to 17 September. The automotive industry, startups and disruptors got together. The focus was on the five topics: Connected Car, Automated Driving, E-Mobility, Urban Mobility and Mobility Services.

The IAA 2017 was also in the Spotlight of alternative drives. The major automotive manufacturers presented new developments in the field of electric mobility. Audi  has the luxury SUV e-tron Sportback Concept. Mercedes-Benz is also focusing on fuel cells. The SUV GLC F-Cell drives with a combination of fuel cell and externally rechargeable battery around 500 kilometers and can be refueled in about three minutes.

As a full-service agency in the digital environment, Evernine is close to the process of digitalization. At the IAA, it was exciting for us to see that a lot of things are being brought to the digitalisation, but the car manufacturers are faced with major challenges in some areas. We are excited about the future development!
