INK4AID Charity – Taking off for a good cause

Body art meets the art of flying. For the second time, the INK4AID charity took place in the wind tunnel of the FlyStation Munich. InspiredBySports, the sports magazine of the Evernine subsidiary IBS Publishing, was also on site and rounded off this great fundraising campaign with a raffle for a good cause.

Attractive prizes, tattoos for a good cause and lots of fun & action in the spectacular wind tunnel. Once again INK4AID together with FlyStation Munich and InspiredBySports was able to put together a wonderful charity event. Just like last year, all visitors had the opportunity to get tattooed by professional tattoo artists and to gain first flight experiences at reduced rates.

With INK4AID, the Munich tattoo studio Tom’s Tattoo has launched a great fundraising campaign to provide financial support to local charities. For as little as 35 euros, all visitors were able to either get pierced or have a tattoo the size of a two-euro piece on the day of the event. 5 euros each went either to the Lebenshilfe Freising e.V. or to the Tierschutzverein Freising e.V.

The visitors were able to decide for themselves which of the two aid organisations the 5 euros should be donated to. Since the spectacular wind tunnel in the centre of the FlyStation Munich also attracted many visitors without a new tattoo, numerous voluntary donations were naturally also placed in the donation container.

Instant Karma for many donors

InspiredBySports, our renowned sports magazine and digital publisher portal, participated in this fundraising marathon with a big raffle ticket campaign and was on site with its own stand and unique prizes at FlyStation Munich. At the time of the draw, approximately 200 tickets were sold and around 40 prizes were presented to the lucky winners, including a brand new set of Salomon skis, provided by Amer Sports Germany. Many donors were thus able to enjoy great prizes in the raffle.

The entire income from the raffle was donated in equal parts to the two aid organizations. The handing over of the big donation cheque will take place again this year directly at the FlyStation Munich on site.

We are already looking forward to the next campaign in 2020.
