Evernine at DMEXCO 2019: Agencies must become consulting firms

Manufacturers are providing better tools for digital communication – from CRM to marketing automation to social planners, but at the same time companies lack consulting support – especially when it comes to the operation and intelligent networking of these technologies. At DMEXCO 2019, Evernine proved itself to be a “technology and diagnostic” communications consultancy with digital full-service know-how and a smart consulting company for this challenge – a presence that hit the mark all round and generated a great response in the market and at the trade fair.


On 11 & 12 September the Evernine Group was represented for the first time as an exhibitor at DMEXCO in the World of Agencies. Under the motto “Trust in you” the biggest marketing fair went into its 10th round this time. Together with the subsidiaries NINE brackets, MBF Media and IBS Publishing, the young, fast-growing consultancy was able to convince the visitors in Cologne with its comprehensive digital approach and its team of experts. The focus was not on the sale of services, but much more on the approach of advising customers on a long-term basis and guiding them into digitisation with an underlying full-service offering. Eye level in all disciplines is required here – the customer wants to be understood on the one hand, on the other hand the customer wants to be made smarter by the agency with ongoing creativity, innovations and inspirations.

At this year’s DMEXCO it became very clear that although many companies presented new marketing technologies such as artificial intelligence, real-time personalization, programmatic advertising or customer experience design, but many of the visitors find it difficult to keep up with the speed and complexity.


The reason? The customers are not advised enough. The simple appearance of the Evernine Group at DMEXCO did not lure interested trade fair visitors to the stand with buzzwords about the portfolio on all roll-ups, they came more specifically – with concrete enquiries – with enquiries about cross-technology consulting. This was the kind of advice that many other exhibitors had often missed. The experts at Evernine have made this year’s motto “Trust in you” their task on the two days of the fair. After all, professional, lasting advice is the most important building block in the customer relationship with the agency and leads to more and more competitive advantage.


“One Voice” with consulting, full service & campaigns

Under the theme “One Voice”, Evernine offers consulting, key account management and campaigns in an outsourcing model if desired. All important communication disciplines converge digitally with one contact person per company. You outsource your communication projects to Evernine and the Munich-based consultancy always provides industry-specific, digital & interdisciplinary advice. And here, the focus is not only on knowledge transfer, but also on ongoing creativity, innovation and inspiration.


A prime example here are the account based marketing campaigns developed by Evernine, based on an Omnichannel approach. This allows previously defined target customers to be addressed with individual messages via digital communication channels on the basis of Programmatic Marketing. Components of the campaign are content marketing hubs, landing pages and marketing automation technology.


As a technical component, the Evernine subsidiary NINE brackets strengthened its know-how in the field of web development. Since spring 2019, NINE brackets GmbH, a technology consulting company and solution provider, has been an official HubSpot Certified Agency Partner. Managing Director Alec Chizhik and his team presented different models of consulting & implementation of HubSpot and showed how these complementary services of the HubSpot portfolio optimally animate digital corporate communication and significantly relieve companies.


The Evernine Group’s service portfolio is rounded off by sophisticated and proven digital campaign concepts. In addition to the account based marketing approach already mentioned, the Munich-based company also offers Qualified Lead Marketing Campaigns (QLM), Business Influencer Campaigns, Co-marketing Campaigns (MDF) and Performance Marketing. For the campaigns, Evernine relies on the portal companies IBS Publishing and MBF Media, which were also represented locally, and showed how campaigns can be carried out fully outsourced.


Account-based marketing hits the ravages of time

An example: In the discussions, outsourced account-based marketing campaigns were increasingly explained and offered – and large product owners enjoyed this because they do not have to use their central marketing to implement such omnichannel campaigns. You can outsource it to the Evernine…


Especially the lecture on “New ways in account-based marketing” by Evernine CEO, Alexander Roth, at the World of Agencies Stage on the second day of the fair inspired many visitors and listeners. The crux here – consulting & complete outsourcing of the process – from the production of campaign assets to lead generation – the campaign can be completely outsourced, so that ideally customers only have to worry about lead processing and at the same time avoid losses in marketing.

In addition, the Evernine experts showed how visitors can develop the collected MQLs (Marketing Qualied Leads) into real SQLs (Sales Qualified Leads). The Evernine Group also offered upcoming topics and workshops in the field of social selling, which it has already conducted for larger customers. However, the demand for this topic remained comparatively low – although she sees great potential in this environment. For example, integrating social monitoring into the digital sales strategy can make digital campaigns more efficient on the sales side.



DMEXCO 2019 once again brought together well-known companies, promising start-ups and media representatives at Koelnmesse this year. This year, Evernine is taking interesting insights and inspiration with it when it comes to customer-centred address and will be there again next year.

We were particularly struck by the fact that although many companies have already heard of the approaches, they all need an advisory body at their side to implement them. And that’s exactly what we were looking for at DMEXCO – we’ve always focused on the customer and his pain points – and we’ve been able to generate many exciting contacts with advisory discussions and are now looking forward to the next steps.
